Dominic Alancha, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised President Bola Tinubu to avoid presenting a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2027 general elections.
Appearing on Politics Today on Channels TV, Alancha said such a decision would be divisive and a betrayal of Nigeria’s founding principles.
“There is nothing wrong with Vice President Shettima as a person, but everything is wrong with a Muslim-Muslim ticket. Many Christians were sidelined in 2023 because of it. We’re only advising the President—don’t repeat it in 2027,” he said.
