Dr. Mrs Abimbola Oyetunde has added two major feathers to her cap, taking on the roles of Bureau Chief for the FRCN Network News Annex in Lagos and Deputy Director of News.
Her appointment has drawn glowing tributes from colleagues, including Comrade Grace Ike, Chair of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, who praised Oyetunde’s “outstanding leadership” and commitment to quality journalism.
Oyetunde’s career is already filled with firsts — including becoming the first female Deputy National President of the NUJ, a milestone that cemented her as a trailblazer in Nigerian media.
Comrade Ike described her as an inspiration to women seeking leadership roles in the profession and expressed confidence that her stewardship will drive innovation and maintain high standards at FRCN.
